By using this site and sending your request you agree to this Privacy Policy. The terms that apply to quote requests are in our Terms of Service. This policy lists everything this site collects and why.

1

Details you give us

1.1When you send a request we collect what you type into the form: your name, email, phone number, trip details, message and newsletter choice. We email it to our team and keep it under your reference ID for up to six months from its last change, so you can look it up, change it and reuse your details. We also record the time you sent it.

1.2Anyone who has the reference ID can view and change the request, so keep it private. A message sent without a trip is not given an ID that you can use. We keep it for up to six months so our team can follow up.

1.3On the Manage Booking page you can also find your requests with the email address or phone number you used, without the reference ID. Because anyone can type any email address or phone number into a form, we first email a 6-digit code to the email address on those requests. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the code on our server, for up to 15 minutes, and delete it once it is used, expires or is tried wrongly too many times. The right code lists the requests that carry that email address. A phone number is only used to find which email address to send the code to; requests are never listed by phone number alone.

2

Newsletter (only if you subscribe)

2.1If you subscribe to our newsletter, on the home page, in the short prompt that can appear while you browse the site, or with the newsletter box on the quote form, we collect your email address (and, from the quote form, your first name). We also record which page you used and when you subscribed.

2.2We use these details only to send you our newsletter: news of routes, fares and offers. Subscribing is your choice and is separate from sending a request, which does not subscribe you unless you tick the newsletter box. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed.

2.3Our newsletter provider, Mailchimp (a service of Intuit Inc., United States), stores your subscription and sends the emails. You join the list as soon as you subscribe, and Mailchimp sends you a welcome email to let you know it worked. You do not need to click anything. Mailchimp may process your information outside your own country; see Mailchimp's privacy statement.

2.4Your address is saved on our server first. If Mailchimp cannot be reached we keep it there and try again, for up to six months. Once Mailchimp has it, we delete it from our server and keep only a record without your address (the page you used and the time) for 90 days. If you unsubscribe, Mailchimp keeps a record of that so you are not added again by mistake.

Cookies and similar browser storage (essential, always on)

3.1This site collects cookies and similar browser storage (such as local and session storage) that it needs to work: your cookie consent choice, the trip summary you are building during your visit, the reference ID, route and expiry date of the last request you sent or opened (so the contact page can offer to modify it; the contact page has a Forget It on This Device button, and it holds no name, email or phone number), a pass of up to 30 minutes for the request history on the Manage Booking page (kept in session storage and tied to your email address, so you do not need a new code each time you reload the page), whether you have subscribed to or closed the newsletter prompt (so it does not keep appearing; no email address is kept), and, only if our server cannot be reached, requests saved in your browser. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.

3.2The site also looks up your approximate area from your IP address, using a location service, to suggest nearby airports. We do not store that result.

4

Optional data, only if you press Accept in the Consent to Cookies box

4.1When you send a request, we add the following to the email our team receives:

  • your approximate location (city, region and country) worked out from your IP address, and the IP address itself;
  • your browser and its version, operating system, language and time zone;
  • your device hardware: number of processor cores, approximate memory, screen size and pixel density, window size and touch support;
  • your browser's user agent text.

4.2These details are used only to help our team verify and serve your request and to protect against misuse. They are not stored on the site, not used for advertising and not sold. If you press Decline, none of these details are collected. The time the request was sent is always included.

5

Third parties

5.1Photos, fonts and airline logos are loaded from other services (for example Unsplash, Google Fonts and airline logo providers), which receive your IP address and browser details when your browser fetches them. Our email provider delivers requests to us. Mailchimp receives your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter (section 2).

6

Automated-traffic checks (essential)

6.1To keep bots away from route searches and quote requests, the page asks our server for a short-lived pass just before it looks up routes, finds or changes a request, asks for a request history code, sends a message or signs you up to the newsletter. The server looks at basic browser details (such as the browser name and language settings), whether the page has been used by a person, a hidden form field, how fast a form was filled in and which website the request came from. Your pass is kept in your browser's session storage for up to 30 minutes.

6.2If we switch on Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible check from Cloudflare also runs at those moments: your browser loads a script from Cloudflare, and Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details. You are never asked to select pictures or type text. If a visit looks automated, the request is not processed and we show our email address and phone number instead.

7

Changing your mind

7.1Use Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page to reopen the Consent to Cookies box and change your choice at any time. To have a request or message deleted before six months, email us with your reference ID, or with the name and email address you used if you were not given one.
