New Business Class seats
Air France used a 2-2-2 seating configuration for the 36 seats in Business Class. Likewise, the cabin configuration is perfectly suitable for couples and companion travelers. Solo travelers can also use the separating wall to increase privacy when flying in Air France Business Class cabins during long-haul flights. The new seats can be converted into lie-flat beds, which are generously around 6’5’’ long and ~22.5” wide.
New Cabin Entertainment
Special mood lighting has been used in A330 Business Class cabins to create a more pleasant atmosphere when flying.
Therefore for entertainment, Air France offers its passengers 18.5” HD TVs.
The new entertainment system is the biggest upgrade compared to the current product, as now it has 1,400 hours of entertainment with a user-friendly handset (wow, that’s so many hours to get entertained);
The color scheme for those who wonder what to wear to match the Business Class cabin is champagne and blue with gray tones. Also, all the cabins on the A330 feature New Connect WiFi, with a free ‘message’ pass.
New Routes
Until the end of winter, the new cabin will be on limited routes from Paris (CDG) to Accra (Ghana), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), and Houston (USA). From summer onwards, the newA330 business cabin will have additional routes to Cotonou (Benin), Lagos (Nigeria), Niamey (Niger), Bengaluru, and Delhi (India) as well as Seattle, Chicago and Dallas (USA).
By 2022, 15 of their A330 will be completely redesigned, and this investment will cost the airline $160m.
